Steelers Add Former Giants DB Ahead of OTAs
The Pittsburgh Steelers have bolstered their secondary depth ahead of OTAs, which are set to begin on May 18.

According to the team, Pittsburgh signed safety Makari Paige to a one-year deal.
Paige previously played at Michigan alongside Steelers wide receiver Roman Wilson and fellow undrafted rookie Greg Crippen. After seeing limited action during his first two seasons with the Wolverines, totaling eight tackles in 15 games through 2021, he took on a larger role in 2022 with 41 tackles and an interception in 12 appearances.
He matched that 41-tackle total in 2023 while adding a fumble recovery during Michigan’s national championship campaign. In his final college season in 2024, Paige posted 45 tackles and two interceptions.
Following the draft last spring, Paige joined the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent. He recorded nine tackles and an interception during the preseason before being waiv
