USC Set to Host Elite Five-Star Recruit with Family Ties to Caleb Williams

The USC Trojans are preparing for another important recruiting weekend as they continue pursuing some of the nation’s top prospects. After recently hosting four-star offensive tackle Isaiah Bertola from Hawaii, USC is now turning its attention to one of the most highly regarded players in the 2028 recruiting class.

Five-star defensive lineman Tyzon Swann is scheduled to visit Los Angeles from June 10-12, giving the Trojans a valuable opportunity to strengthen their position in a highly competitive recruitment. Beyond his status as an elite prospect, Swann brings a unique connection to the program—he is the cousin of former USC star quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams.

That family connection could provide USC with an advantage as head coach Lincoln Riley and his staff work to make a lasting impression. Williams remains one of the most celebrated players in recent Trojan history after capturing the Heisman Trophy and becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft.

While Swann plays on the opposite side of the ball from his famous cousin, he has already established himself as one of the premier defensive prospects in the country. His combination of size, athleticism, and explosiveness has made him a coveted target for many of college football’s top programs.

At 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, Swann possesses exceptional quickness for a defensive lineman. His burst off the line allows him to penetrate gaps and disrupt opposing offenses, whether by pressuring quarterbacks or stopping running plays in the backfield.
