Vanderbilt Football Lands Four-Star Tight End Commit

Vanderbilt football and head coach Clark Lea made a significant recruiting move Monday by securing a commitment from four-star tight end Grant Haviland out of Georgia.
Haviland, a native of Milton, is rated by ESPN as both the top tight end in Georgia and the No. 1 tight end in the 2027 recruiting class. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound prospect chose the Commodores over several powerhouse programs, including Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Clemson.
His addition could provide a major boost to Vanderbilt’s future offense, potentially giving quarterback Jared Curtis a reliable target in the passing game by the time Haviland arrives on campus. Thanks to his size and physicality, he also projects as a strong contributor in run blocking.
Haviland announced his commitment through a video shared by Atlanta sports reporter Miles Garrett.
With this pickup, Vanderbilt continues to build a strong reputation for developing tight ends under Lea. Former standout Eli Stowers is expected to be selected in the upcoming NFL Draft, while current tight end Cole Spence is poised for a productive season.
