Georgia Tech Expected to Host Visit From Siena Transfer Forward
Georgia Tech is continuing its efforts to rebuild its roster for the 2026–27 season, and a transfer forward could be part of the solution.
In his first year leading the program, head coach Scott Cross is facing a major overhaul, with several roster spots to fill following multiple departures to the transfer portal. As a result, he is expected to lean heavily on incoming transfers to reshape the team. One player drawing interest from the Yellow Jackets is Siena forward Francis Folefac.
Folefac played a key role in helping Siena reach the NCAA Tournament last season, where the team nearly pulled off a major upset against Duke in a 1 vs. 16 matchup. According to 247Sports’ Dushawn London, Folefac is scheduled to visit Georgia Tech this week after already making a stop at Syracuse.
What he offers
The 6-foot-7, 245-pound forward averaged 11.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game last season while shooting 52% from the field and 37% from three-point range in 28 minutes per contest. He was a major contributor on a tournament team and showed the ability to impact games on both ends.
Folefac previously played under Gerry McNamara at Siena, who has since taken over as head coach at Syracuse—potentially making the Orange a strong contender in his recruitment as well.
Before college, Folefac was a highly regarded recruit, earning Washington Post Second Team All-Met honors after leading Mt. Zion to a top-25 national ranking. He was also named Defensive Player of the Year in his conference and helped guide his team to both a Maryland state championship and a private school title. Additionally, he competed on the AAU circuit with Team Melo in the EYBL.
Georgia Tech recently secured its first transfer addition with former Ole Miss player Tylis Jordan, a former blue-chip prospect who could make an immediate impact depending on how the rest of the roster shapes up.
If added, Folefac would bring experience and versatility on offense, with the ability to score both inside and from beyond the arc. He could be a valuable piece for Georgia Tech as it continues to rebuild under Cross.
With plenty of roster spots still to fill, more transfer activity is expected as the offseason continues.
