Tennessee added another piece to its 2027 recruiting class on Tuesday when kicker Ford Fehling announced his commitment to the Volunteers. The pledge came just one day after Tennessee extended him a scholarship offer.
“Blessed to receive a full scholarship offer from Vol football,” Fehling posted on Monday.
The offer and subsequent commitment followed a strong performance at Tennessee’s football camp on Sunday, where Fehling impressed the coaching staff.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound specialist attends Marvin Ridge High School in Waxhaw, North Carolina. While he is not currently ranked by 247Sports, he has already attracted interest from multiple Division I programs.
Coastal Carolina was the first FBS program to offer Fehling, and he also holds a scholarship offer from Iowa.
With Fehling’s commitment, Tennessee’s 2027 recruiting class now stands at 13 pledges. The group includes linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife, quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler, wide receiver KeSean Bowman, defensive back Carter Jamison, defensive back Brandon Leavell, tight end Malik Howard, defensive lineman Christian Mays, cornerback Dylan Haley, long snapper Sam McKeown, and Fehling.
