Top Offensive Line Prospect Set to Choose Between Oregon, Washington, UCLA, and Utah
Three-star offensive lineman Gecova Doyal is scheduled to announce his college commitment on Wednesday, July 1, with Oregon, Washington, UCLA, and Utah making up his list of finalists.

Doyal is expected to reveal his decision live on the Rivals YouTube channel at approximately 11:45 a.m. PT as one of the top offensive line prospects in the 2027 recruiting class comes off the board.
Washington Appears to Hold the Momentum
According to 247Sports, Doyal took official visits to UCLA and Utah in May before visiting Oregon and Washington in June. The Huskies hosted the talented lineman last, often viewed as an advantage during the recruiting process, and they have carried momentum into announcement day.
Washington also offers the hometown appeal for Doyal, who plays at Puyallup High School in Washington.
The 6-foot-2.5, 285-pound prospect is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 16 interior offensive lineman nationally, the No. 4 overall player in Washington, and the No. 361 prospect in the country.
Although projected as an interior lineman at the college level, Doyal primarily lines up at left tackle in high school. His film showcases an athletic blocker who moves well in space, finishes plays with physicality, and consistently plays through the whistle.
Adding to Washington’s outlook, Rivals insiders have submitted multiple predictions favoring the Huskies to secure his commitment.
Oregon Still in the Mix
While Washington may enter decision day as the perceived favorite, Oregon remains one of four finalists with hopes of pulling off a recruiting win.
The Ducks already have four offensive linemen committed in the 2027 class, giving them flexibility if Doyal chooses another program. Oregon has also consistently supplemented its offensive line through the transfer portal under head coach Dan Lanning, reducing the urgency to add another high school lineman.
Ducks Continue Building Strong 2027 Class
Regardless of Doyal’s decision, Oregon’s 2027 recruiting class continues to rank among the nation’s strongest.
The Ducks recently landed five-star wide receiver Dakota Guerrant and are also trending favorably for another elite pass catcher in Xavier Sabb, leaving the receiver position in excellent shape moving forward.
Oregon’s recruiting efforts are far from finished, however. Four-star linebacker Brayton Feister is scheduled to announce his commitment on July 11 and could become the fourth linebacker to join the Ducks’ 2027 class as Lanning and his staff continue building one of the country’s top recruiting groups.
