Florida State Looking to Land Four-Star Offensive Lineman Ahead of Weekend Commitment
Florida State has already assembled much of its 2027 recruiting class, but one major need remains unfilled as the Seminoles continue to build #Tribe27.
Despite securing commitments across several position groups since the start of the summer, FSU has yet to add an offensive lineman—a notable concern given the program’s ongoing struggles with depth and consistency in the trenches over the past decade.
After missing out on several offensive line targets throughout the recruiting cycle, the Seminoles have an opportunity to change that this weekend.
Four-Star Lineman Set to Announce Decision
Four-star interior offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough is scheduled to reveal his college choice on Saturday, July 11, with his announcement set for 6:00 p.m. ET.

The Arizona standout is expected to choose between Florida State, California, and Mississippi State after narrowing his list of finalists.
At this stage, Cal appears to be Florida State’s primary competition for Yarborough’s commitment. The Golden Bears entered the race earlier this year and have remained a serious contender throughout the process.
However, the Seminoles have built a long-standing relationship with the talented lineman. Florida State extended a scholarship offer during the summer of 2025 and has remained heavily involved in his recruitment ever since.
Yarborough has visited Tallahassee multiple times, including a trip during spring practice in March and an official visit last month, giving the coaching staff several opportunities to strengthen its position before his decision.
The 6-foot-5, 340-pound prospect is ranked No. 426 nationally, the No. 25 interior offensive lineman in the country, and the No. 9 player in Arizona for the 2027 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
With offensive line remaining one of the few unanswered questions in Florida State’s recruiting class, landing Yarborough would provide the Seminoles with an important addition as they continue shaping their future roster.
