Heat Bring Back Vladislav Goldin on New Two-Way Contract

The Miami Heat have officially retained center Vladislav Goldin, signing the 7-foot Russian big man to a new two-way contract after an encouraging first season within the organization. The move was confirmed Thursday through the NBA’s official transaction log, ensuring Goldin will continue his development with the franchise.

Goldin, 25, initially joined Miami after going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft. He signed a two-way agreement with the Heat shortly afterward, allowing him to split time between the NBA club and its G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Most of Goldin’s rookie campaign was spent in the G League, where he showcased his potential as an interior presence. Across 31 games with the Skyforce, he averaged 12.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.9 blocked shots while logging 23.6 minutes per contest. His production on both ends of the floor highlighted his ability to protect the rim, rebound effectively, and contribute offensively around the basket.

Although his NBA opportunities were limited, Goldin also earned valuable experience with the Heat during the 2025-26 season. He appeared in nine regular-season games, totaling 24 minutes of action as he adjusted to the league and continued his development under Miami’s coaching staff.

The Heat demonstrated their confidence in Goldin’s long-term potential by extending him a two-way qualifying offer last month. Once the July 13 deadline to withdraw that offer passed without any changes, it became increasingly likely that both sides would continue their partnership.

By re-signing Goldin, Miami maintains frontcourt depth while keeping a promising young center within its player development system. The organization has built a reputation for helping overlooked and undrafted players develop into NBA contributors, and Goldin will now receive another opportunity to compete for a larger role while continuing to split time between the Heat and the Sioux Falls Skyforce during the upcoming season.
