Oklahoma State continues offensive line push with new 2027 recruiting target
Oklahoma State has been active on the recruiting trail, hosting multiple offensive linemen on official visits over the past two weekends and already securing three commitments in its Class of 2027 offensive line group.
Last weekend, Ensworth High School (Nashville, Tenn.) lineman Jake Baker became the latest to commit following his visit. The week before, the Cowboys landed two additional offensive line pledges from Troy (Texas) standout Sonny Mullen and Mount Carmel (Chicago, Ill.) prospect Chase Clark. With those additions, Oklahoma State is now roughly three-fifths of the way toward building out its projected 2027 offensive line class.
Another recent visitor could help them move even closer to completing that unit.
Tristan Hardin Roberts emerging as a target
One of the key visitors last weekend was Tristan Hardin Roberts, a 6-foot-5, 295-pound offensive lineman from Blount High School in Mobile, Alabama. After returning home, he shared positive reflections about his trip to Oklahoma State on social media.
His recruitment remains open, but the Cowboys appear to be firmly in the mix based on his current visit schedule and interest list. According to 247Sports, Roberts has already taken official visits to West Virginia and Tulane, and is expected to visit USF soon. While multiple Group of Five programs have offered him, his Power Four opportunities are more limited, with Florida State standing as his only other major-conference offer so far. He also holds interest from Ivy League programs like Cornell and Dartmouth.
Recruiting momentum under Eric Morris
As Oklahoma State winds down its official visit cycle, the coaching staff is narrowing its focus on remaining 2027 targets while also beginning early evaluations for the Class of 2028. This marks the first full recruiting cycle for head coach Eric Morris and his staff, making the current class especially important in setting the program’s direction.
Alongside its offensive line haul, Oklahoma State has also added several offensive commitments, including quarterbacks, wide receivers, and a tight end. Notable pledges include quarterback Carson White (Iowa Colony, Texas), wide receiver Ake O’Neal (Argyle, Texas), wide receiver Cooper Hooker (Pryor, Oklahoma), and tight end Talan Scott (Queen Creek, Arizona). On defense, the Cowboys currently have one commitment from safety Bryson Brown (Broken Bow, Oklahoma).
