One major priority appears to be adding an experienced two-way center capable of handling top-six responsibilities while providing strong defensive play. That has sparked speculation around Vincent Trocheck of the New York Rangers as a possible trade target.

Recent discussion has centered on the idea of a rare division-rival deal between the Flyers and Rangers, with Trocheck potentially heading to Philadelphia in a move that could address important needs for both organizations.

The biggest question, however, is what the Flyers would be willing to give up in return.

One rumored possibility involves young star Matvei Michkov, whose fit within Philadelphia’s lineup has generated debate despite his immense talent and youth. While many believe moving Michkov would be far too aggressive, another intriguing trade chip could be Trevor Zegras.
